Co-evolution between animal and pathogens, ecology, behavior and immunity Group

Research Interests:

1.Strategy of anti–infection in animal life history
2.Dynamics of pathogen and immunity in their major host population
3.Co-evolution between host and pathogen
4.Wild animal disease monitoring and controlling in nature and breeding farms.

Group Leader
Prof. Li is an ornithologist and focus on birds study in avifauna, biogeography and ecology including major species’ survey, population monitoring, migration and exotic invasion in and around Qinghai- Tibet Plateau. More than 30 papers on above fields have been published. Recently, Prof. Li has paid more attention on co-evolution between the animal and pathogen under the pressure of animal hosts’ anti-infecting and their pathogen’s infecting respectively. The highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) circulating through Qinghai-Tibet Plateau presents a far-reaching significance.
