The Study on the Resilience of the Alpine Meadow Ecosystem on Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau

The alpine meadow ecosystem has the degrading trend in recent years. In this paper, using data from biological state variable(above-ground net primary production) and driving variables( yearly precipitation, yearly mean air temperature, precipitation in growing season and mean air temperature in growing season), which are observed at Haibei Alpine Meadow Ecosystem Research Station, we discuss the resilience of the Haibei natural ecosystem. To avoid the collapsibility of the alpine meadow ecosystem, we provide some advice and strategies. The results of resilience measure indicate that the above-ground net primary production of the ecosystem was more resilient with precipitation and air temperature changes. It responds to them mainly was direct each year, after-effects from previous years were more weak. Therefore, the alpine meadow ecosystem appears to be a little highly resilient. Comparing resilience between the alpine meadow ecosystem and four natural ecosystem in Israel and South Africa also indicates that the alpine meadow ecosystem is more resilient relatively. The alpine meadow lies at the degrading process. To sustain the alpine meadow ecosystem, it is the key that how to utilize the alpine grassland and restore the degraded grassland.
