Studies on Carbon Fluxes of Alpine Meadow Ecosystem in Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau with Bowen Ratio/Energy Balance and Close Chamber method

Research objectives:

Through long-term field observations at fixed sites, date will be obtained on carbon dioxide, hydro-heat fluxes between vegetation and atmosphere; CO2 fluxes between soil and atmosphere; photosynthesis of vegetation communities; carbon accumulation (biomass, litters and soil organic matters) in alpine meadow; and the ecological environment factors. And carbon fluxes and net primary production as well as the spatial and temporal variation characteristics of carbon storage of alpine meadow ecosystem in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau will be revealed. This will provide the basic parameters for the study on carbon budgets of terrestrial and off-shore ecosystems in China.
